Out Of The Furnace (2013)

[Dir. Scott Cooper]

I honestly feel disappointed about this movie even though it didn't turn out bad but i just expect more from the superb casts (seriously, the casts are so perfectly chosen). But the shining star in this movie seems to be the great Woody Harrelson. Love that guy. He played the character so well.

About Time (2013)

[Dir. Richard Curtis]

Romance embellished with time travel, basically fiction, but i still like the plot. It's not about love between two person but the whole family.

The World's End (2013)

[Dir. Edgar Wright]

A little bit boring, but entertaining. I thought i would burst out laughing all the time but um, not really, only two or three scenes. Love Martin Freeman here though.

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (2013)

[Dir. Ben Stiller]

There is something about this movie that gets me. I'm still thinking about how simple and wonderful the plot is. And visually it looks really stunning. Really. Love the plot & cinematography. Definitely didn't let me down.

Punch-Drunk Love (2002)

[Dir. Paul Thomas Anderson]

A mellow film about a psychologically abused guy who's being drowned in his own business and learn to fall in love. I enjoyed Adam Sandler's performance as Barry Egar. I think he fits the role. Barry Egar is a kind of person who being disrespected by his family, but he's a strong, persistent guy, who will do anything he wants. Before he met Lena (Emily Watson), he didn't stood up for what he deserves, but then he fell in love and it seems somehow, cure his psychological problems.

I like this movie first time I saw the first scene. Brilliant cinematography, typical PTA, love it. Then in the middle, the tense is getting higher and with the score support. This is an innocent film. The scenes that involves the piano also makes me happy, it seems that the little piano, in sort of strange way, helps Barry release his strangled mind.

Totally recommended.
